By placing it in front of you verbally or in written form, it puts the problem "out there for its place in the solving process." Nice way of putting it.Ty Unglebowerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06836504600859993438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-637372924851105604.post-20608087823519098302011-04-12T13:57:37.185-04:002011-04-12T13:57:37.185-04:00Glad to know I'm not the only one...but I got ...Glad to know I'm not the only one...but I got things most in perspective by remembering that bad news does not get better if you ignore it. Sort of like writing it all down, it is best to go ahead and acknowledge it so that it is out there for its place in the solving process. The Lead Doghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11073933376460918253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-637372924851105604.post-31038239003814230152011-04-12T13:12:10.429-04:002011-04-12T13:12:10.429-04:00Thanks for reading Megan! Or for that matter, I sometimes actually say out loud what i think all of the components of a problem are. It makes a mess more real, instead of feeling like a mythical beast that lives only inside of my head.Ty Unglebowerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06836504600859993438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-637372924851105604.post-20083712219199984042011-04-11T18:10:52.113-04:002011-04-11T18:10:52.113-04:00I can very much so relate to the "shit bat cr...I can very much so relate to the "shit bat crazy" reference. Over the years, I've come to effectively deal with complicated messes by writing everything down. My messes are normally a result of my tendency to over-commit. I'll write down all my commitments and mark which ones are high priority, which ones can get the axe without me feeling like I'll just die if I have to say 'no', and which ones can wait a little bit until I get my head above water. It normally takes me a couple days to evaluate the items on the list and in that time, the level of shit bat crazy urgency I feel fades a little.Meganhttp://www.madamenergy.comnoreply@blogger.com
