Maybe not as much as you, but I could spend more time there, easily, if I had more money, or more connections.

Steph-Excellent point about NYC. I have not been to those areas, though. I hope to some day, with the right guide. So I may take you up on the offer if I am up there again in the near future. =)Ty Unglebowerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06836504600859993438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-637372924851105604.post-12900057087493714902011-12-24T15:39:15.992-05:002011-12-24T15:39:15.992-05:00I have a love/hate relationship with NJ, but I mus...I have a love/hate relationship with NJ, but I must say, it has a little bit of whatever you might be looking for.

For example, I have a town next to mine with a strong Middle Eastern community, where you can find falafels and hookah bars galore. ;) 15 minutes away is Hoboken, with the bars at night and antiquing during the day. If you go closer to southern Jersey, you find college towns and farming towns and charming towns filled with independent shops (this is my favorite part of NJ). In south Jersey, you get the beach towns. Plus, depending upon where in NJ you are, you're always fairly close to either NYC or Philly.

As for NYC, I've never been much of a fan (too many crowds), though I enjoy Soho and the West Village, and always love taking in a good Broadway show or lit event. I much prefer Boston. It's a much smaller city, with a European feel.

If you're ever in my neck of the woods again, though, I'm down with showing you my faves in NJ AND NYC.

As for where I'd like to go in the future, I wouldn't mind going to Quebec again. And Austria, too. Plus I've always wanted to go on a Mediterranean cruise that has stops in Italy, Greece, etc. And I'd love to go back to AZ, and also swing through NM.Steph Auterihttp://www.freelancedom.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-637372924851105604.post-26855455231045221322011-12-23T15:08:08.191-05:002011-12-23T15:08:08.191-05:00NYC is absolutely my favorite city, and this will ...NYC is absolutely my favorite city, and this will never change, ever, ever, ever. BUT I will say I do love Boston too - and am lucky to live right in the middle of the two, neither more than a 2 hour train ride away.

PS I love New York.

PPS Really a lot.Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17272234396737679356noreply@blogger.com
